How To Increase Your Computer Speed

It is a natural thing for most of us computer users to want our computers to be as fast as possible, for this reason I’d like to share with you what I do to increase my computer speed by reducing the work-load on my ram. Open a large word document then press CRTL plus SHIFT plus ESC to open Windows Task Manager and click Processes tab and sort the list in descending order on Mem Usage. You will see that WINWORD.EXE is somewhere at the top, using a significant part of the memory. Now go back to the large word document that you opened and simply minimize it; (don’t use the Minimize All Windows option of the task bar). Now go back to Windows Task Manager, you will see that the amount of ram been used for word has reduced significantly. You might even need to scroll down to the bottom of the list to see it. By now I’m sure you agree with me that it is a good idea to minimize each application you are n0t working on currently by clicking on the minimize button thereby increasing the amount of available RAM by a substantial margin. In any multitasking system, minimizing an application means that it won’t be utilized by the user right now, therefore the operating system automatically makes the application use virtual memory and keeps bare minimum amounts of the code in physical RAM. Remember the more space you have in your RAM or memory the faster you computer will be. This has always work for me, I hope it does not only work for you but opens your eyes to some other things you might have been missing in the Windows Task Manager
